Animal Park Bern
More space for diversity
At a time when humans are more distanced than ever from nature and biodiversity is on the decline worldwide, the places where we encounter nature and its biodiversity are becoming increasingly important. Bern Animal Park plays a central role in this regard, providing more space for a wide range of native and exotic animal species – both in and around its generously sized enclosures. At the Dählhölzli Zoo, visitors can come 365 days a year to see bears, lynx and wolves, as well as rarely seen species such as moose, musk ox, leopard and ice fox. The Vivarium at the heart of the zoo takes you through a tropical garden where you can observe crocodiles, monkeys and wild birds, as well as the largest reef in Switzerland. Whether scales, feathers or spines – a visit will engage all of your senses, and show you biodiversity at its best.
Bern Animal Park also includes the BearPark that provides the opportunity to experience bears in an animal-friendly environment along the Aare River.
